How to Uninstall and Install tinymux Ubuntu 22.04

This is the TinyMUX flavor of mud servers of the MUSH branch. It provides a number of robust features to enable players to extend the virtual world. This is done by building new rooms and objects, and utilizing its internal programming language, MUSHcode. In this tutorial, I will show you ways to install tinymux Ubuntu 22.04.


  • Operating system: tinymux needs Ubuntu 22.04 to work
  • Privileges: Check that you can run sudo commands.

Prerequisites to install tinymux on Ubuntu 22.04

Install tinymux Ubuntu 22.04

Install tinymux using APT

This is a popular method for installing Ubuntu packages since it’s simple to understand, even if you’re new to Linux. Following these steps to install tinymux on your Ubuntu 22.04.

Step 1: Obtain new packages from Ubuntu by updating the APT database. Opening the terminal and executing the following Linux command:

sudo apt-get update

Step 2: Start the package installation on Ubuntu 22.04. After updating, you can install tinymux Ubuntu by pasting this command into the terminal and executing it.

sudo apt-get -y install tinymux

Install tinymux using Aptitude
