How to Install and Uninstall timeshift on Ubuntu 22.04

Timeshift is a system restore utility which takes snapshots of the system at regular intervals. These snapshots can be restored at a later date to undo system changes. Creates incremental snapshots using rsync or BTRFS snapshots using BTRFS tools. I will show you how to install timeshift on Ubuntu 22.04 in this tutorial.

Install timeshift using APT

Step 1: The APT package repository cache needs to be updated before you try to install, update, or remove any packages. Obtain new packages from Ubuntu by updating the APT database. Opening the terminal and executing the following Linux command:

sudo apt-get update

Step 2: Start the package installation on Ubuntu 22.04. You can now install timeshift Ubuntu by executing this command in the terminal.

sudo apt-get -y install timeshift

Install timeshift using Aptitude
