How to Install or Uninstall resource-agents on Ubuntu 22.04

This package contains cluster resource agents (RAs) compliant with the Open Cluster Framework (OCF) specification, used to interface with various services in a High Availability environment managed by the Pacemaker resource manager. In this guide, I will show you how to install resource-agents on Ubuntu 22.04.

Prerequisites to install

  • Operating system: Ubuntu 22.04 or older versions with more than 2GB RAM
  • Privileges: Make sure you are able to execute sudo commands.

Install resource-agents using APT

Step 1: You must update the APT package repository cache before attempting to install, update, or remove any packages. Update the APT database to fetch new packages from Ubuntu. Opening the terminal and executing this Linux command:

sudo apt update

Step 2: Start the package installation on Ubuntu 22.04. After updating the system, you can install resource-agents Ubuntu by pasting this command into the terminal and pressing Enter.

sudo apt -y install resource-agents
