Ways to Uninstall and Install pki-base Ubuntu 22.04

The PKI Framework contains the common and client libraries and utilities. In this tutorial, I will show you how to install pki-base on Ubuntu 22.04.

Prerequisites

  • Privileges: Ascertain that you are able to execute sudo commands.

Install pki-base Ubuntu 22.04

Install pki-base using APT

This is a popular method for installing Ubuntu packages because it’s easy to follow, even if you are a newbie in Linux. Following these instructions to get pki-base on your Ubuntu.

Step 1: The APT package repository cache needs to be updated before you try to install, update, or remove any packages. Update the APT database to download new packages from Ubuntu. Opening the terminal and executing this Linux command:

sudo apt-get -y update

Step 2: Install the package on Ubuntu 22.04. After updating the system, you can now install pki-base Ubuntu by pasting this command into the terminal and pressing Enter.

sudo apt -y install pki-base

Install pki-base using Aptitude

You must run this command to install Aptitude if you haven’t already done so on Ubuntu.

sudo apt install aptitude

After installing, you can now install pki-base, just following these steps:

Step 1: Update the APT database to fetch new packages from Ubuntu. Opening the terminal and executing this Linux command:

sudo apt-get -y update

Step 2: Install the package on Ubuntu 22.04. After updating the system, you can install pki-base Ubuntu by pasting this command into the terminal and executing it.

sudo aptitude -y install pki-base
