How to Uninstall or Install libreswan Ubuntu 22.04

Libreswan is an IPsec implementation for Linux. It has support for most of the extensions (RFC + IETF drafts) related to IPsec, including IKEv2, X.509 Digital Certificates, NAT Traversal, and many others. I will show you how to install libreswan on Ubuntu 22.04 in this tutorial.

Install libreswan using APT

This is a popular method for installing any Ubuntu packages because it is simple to understand, even if you are a Linux beginner. Following these steps to install libreswan on your Ubuntu.

Step 1: Update the APT database to download new packages from Ubuntu. Launch the terminal and enter the following Linux command:

sudo apt-get update

Step 2: Install the package on Ubuntu 22.04. After updating the system, you can install libreswan Ubuntu by pasting this command into the terminal and executing it.

sudo apt-get install libreswan
