How to Install and Uninstall gnuserv Ubuntu 22.04

gnuserv allows you to attach to an already running Emacs. This allows external programs to make use of Emacs’ editing capabilities. It is similar to GNU Emacs’ emacsclient, but has a slightly different feature set. In this tutorial, I will show you how to install gnuserv on Ubuntu 22.04.


  • OS: Ubuntu 22.04 or older Ubuntu versions
  • Privileges: Make sure that you can run the sudo commands line.

Install gnuserv using APT
