Ways to Install and Uninstall g-wrap on Ubuntu 22.04

G-Wrap is a tool (and Guile library) for generating function wrappers for inter-language calls. It currently only supports generating Guile wrappers for C functions. I will show you how to install g-wrap on Ubuntu 22.04 in this tutorial.

Prerequisites

  • OS: Ubuntu 22.04 or older versions with more than 2GB RAM
  • Privileges: Make sure you are able to execute sudo commands.

Prerequisites to install g-wrap on Ubuntu 22.04

Install g-wrap Ubuntu 22.04

Install g-wrap using APT

This is one of the popular ways to install any Ubuntu packages because it is simple to understand, even if you are a Linux novice. Following these instructions to get g-wrap on your Ubuntu 22.04.

Step 1: You must update the APT package repository cache before attempting to install, update, or remove any packages. Update the APT database to download new packages from Ubuntu. Opening the terminal and executing this Linux command:

sudo apt-get -y update

Step 2: Start the package installation on Ubuntu 22.04. After updating, you can install g-wrap Ubuntu by executing this command in the terminal.

sudo apt-get -y install g-wrap

Install g-wrap using Aptitude

sudo apt install aptitude

After that, you can now install g-wrap by following these steps:
