Ways to Install and Uninstall cl-rt on Ubuntu 22.04

This is MIT’s regression tester for Common Lisp programs. It provides a framework for writing regression tests for Common Lisp packages. This package includes Paul Dietz’s modifications to the original MIT release. In this guide, I will show you how to install cl-rt on Ubuntu 22.04.

Prerequisites

  • OS: cl-rt needs Ubuntu 22.04 to work
  • Privileges: Check that you can run sudo commands.

Install cl-rt Ubuntu 22.04

Install cl-rt using APT

This is a popular method for installing Ubuntu packages because it’s easy to follow, even if you are a newbie in Linux. Following these steps to install cl-rt on your Ubuntu 22.04.

Step 1: Update the APT database to download new packages from Ubuntu. Opening the terminal and executing the following Linux command:

sudo apt update

Step 2: Start installing the packages on Ubuntu 22.04. After updating the system, you can install cl-rt Ubuntu by executing this command in the terminal.

sudo apt-get -y install cl-rt

Install cl-rt using Aptitude

If you haven’t already installed Aptitude on Ubuntu, run this command to do so.

sudo apt install aptitude

After installing aptitude, you can now install cl-rt by following these steps:

Step 1: You must update the APT package repository cache before attempting to install, update, or remove any packages. Update the APT database to download new packages from Ubuntu. Launching the terminal and entering the following Linux command:

sudo apt -y update

Step 2: Start installing the packages on Ubuntu 22.04. You can now install cl-rt Ubuntu by executing this command in the terminal.

sudo aptitude install cl-rt

Uninstall cl-rt on Ubuntu 22.04
