Ways to Install or Uninstall aegisub on Ubuntu 22.04

Originally created as tool to make typesetting, particularly in anime fansubs, a less painful experience, Aegisub has grown into a fully fledged, highly customizable subtitle editor. In this tutorial, I will show you how to install aegisub on Ubuntu 22.04.

Software Requirement

  • OS: aegisub needs Ubuntu 22.04 to work
  • Privileges: Verify that you can execute the sudo commands line.

Prerequisites to install aegisub on Ubuntu 22.04

Install aegisub Ubuntu 22.04

Install aegisub using APT

This is one of the most popular methods for installing Ubuntu packages since it is simple to understand, even if you are a Linux novice. Following these instructions to get aegisub on your Ubuntu 22.04.

Step 1: Update the APT database to download new packages from Ubuntu. Opening the terminal and executing this Linux command:

sudo apt-get update
